About the Artist
A member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Zoe Schlacter (they/them), earned their BFA in textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design, where they learned both traditional crafts and contemporary design skills. Through weaving, quilting, sculpture and installation, Schlacter's work explores gendered expressions of personal style and the creative potential of LGBTQIA+ communities.

Be True started in 2012 as a grassroots effort led by Nike employees in the PRIDE Network seeking to build a company culture diverse in orientation, identity and expression.
