555 SOUL

Triple 5 Soul was founded by Camella Ehlke in 1989. After she dropped out of Pratt to focus on her art, Ehlke opened her studio in the LES at 151 Ludlow St. She became a pioneer figure in the industry and helped conceptualize what we call streetwear today.  Her unconventional styles were loved by artists and musicians such as Mos Def, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest. The brand infused fashion with a downtown NYC lifestyle of hip-hop, art, skate and b-boy culture.

555 Soul was bulit on a passion for creative expression, community, and music. From its humble beginnings on Ludlow St., the brand went on to open stores on  NYC's Lafayette Street, Los Angeles, London, and Japan. After a multi-year hiatus, the brand is back with a clear sense of purpose: build community, uplift emerging artists, and share the stories of 555 SOUL and the artists who shaped this pivotal cultural moment.
